Just found the one on my 03 EB. It's on the drivers side, on the fuel tank behind a cover. I would think the Navi is the same. Material is the same as the tank so it kind of blends in. I think you pry the cover out of clips to get to the filter. Think you do need the line tool to remove.

Let me know how it goes.

did you have to depressurize the system first?

I didnt as the truck had not been started in about 2 days. Gas did drip out of the lines during the one-minute they were disconnected - maybe one-cup of gas total. Easiest fuel filter change I ever did. The lines have blue "buttons" on each side - you just push them in and the line slips off.

It has 40,000 miles - so the free maintenance is up. The previous owner was good about taking it in for oil changes and such - but for some reason they never did the 30K service (*****). I bought the truck with 39K - and ordered all the stuff to do the 30K service myself.

Cost to do a 30K sevice:

Tranny Filter + fluid = $31
Fuel Filter = $18
Mobil-1 oil change = $25 ( I bought a ton of PepBoy buy 3 get 3 )
Engine air filter = $15
Climate controlled seat filters = $59 (ouch)
Bleed Brakes = $6 (fluid)

Total cost = $154

At 50K I'll do the plugs and coolant (has the yellow stuff). The previous owner had already upgraded to the improved brake pads (they gave him new ft rotors at the same time. The comment above about the pepboys oil was a calander they sold (mothers against DD). One of the coupons in it is buy 3 mobil 1 - get 3 free!! the calander was $1. Also, the initial run of calanders had a misprint where you also got for free:

can of Techron fuel cleaner
bottle of "wax as you dry"
bottle of car wash soap"

it was supposed to be buy 1 get 1 free- but as I said the initial run did not say that - so I have a ton of this stuff filling up my cupboards!
