I'm also looking for the race track trim for my 78 F-350 dual wheel crew cab. I know where there's a truck with the trim on it ( not for sale ), I'm going to take some measurements and go to the salvage yard and get a set for a regular cab and two more sets for the door.I'm going to cut the door trim down to make trim for the back door and the short trim. I'll machine down the rubber insert and cut and tig the stainless. I hope this will work it will take some time but I think it will be worth it. Has anyone tried to do this if so did you have any luck. Tell me if you all think I'm nuts for trying this, I'll take a lot of photos and post them if it works.

its not stainless though, its aluminum. good luck, I've never seen a crew with the racetrack trim.

I wish they had offered the 73-76 deluxe lower trim with crewcabs, it would have looked cool

I was lucky to find a rear set stil in the package. The only thing I had to hand build was the lower piece between the 2 doors. With some time I think the pieces for the rear doors could be easily made. Looking at the truck you could never tell that piece was made. If anyone needs measurements or pics let me know and I can get you what you need.

I have a 77 crewcab shortbed 4x4 with the racetrack. What I did was polish it lightly. I cleaned out the center black paint with acetone. Taped off the exposed shiny metal, then sprayed SEM brand self etch primer in the center. Then topped off with SEM brand trim black. Looks absolutely marvelous!! I have the cab, doors and front fenders done. Still have to do the racetrack for the shortbed.

Guess I was one of the lucky ones, I have the XLT with all the dual trim. This truck looks almost better then alot of the swimsuit models in Sports Illustrated. Well, maybe not...
