361 ft

I have a 361ft that I might rebuild for a pulling truck, I was thinking of making it a 390 but I am not not really sure of all the compatibility between the FE and FT. I I know that the ft is externally balanced and the the fe is internal. Any suggestions would be helpful, just tryin to get an idea if it would beworth doin.

I wasnt aware that the FT was externally balanced.

Ok, to turn it into a 390 you'll need a new crank, new rods, new pistons, new heads, timing cover, flexplate or flywheel, and a new intake. You'll probably also want a different cam.

I'm sure I'll think of more.
