Glad I found this place after spending hours browzing.
Just bought E 350 2003, Powerstroke 7.3L. cargo extended van, and would like to transform it to a summerhouse on wheels.
Where would i find Hi-top roof, captain chairs, left and right side windows, cabinet and beds etc.? Used or new.
I also would like to install rear wheel lock, any comment on that please. Any info on url for manual? Being a total newbie, any info or tips on this van would be very much appreciated. Thanx.
I'd check some auto salvage yards for some of this stuff. You might get lucky and even fine a hi top roof. ("turtle top" is one name that comes to mind)
If your thinking conversion style windows an auto salvage yard will be a good place. Seats are a hit or miss. One week they will have junk and one day out of the next few months they will have good stuff. Cabinets you may have to custom make yourself to get the fit you want. (I'd recomend going to some dealers and pretend to be interested to look inside a few.)

$1500-$2000 is the normal cost of adding a new high top, there's lots of guys doing them, you won't have any problem coming across a company to do it. J.C. Whitney has, along with just about everything else in the world, motorhome-type seats for front and/or rear along with windows. Check E-Bay of course. Also do a search for van parts, van conversion parts on the net, you'll get lots of ideas, good luck, (what the heck is a 'rear wheel lock ?) Ken
