Predator wont work

Predator wont work
I tried to install my predator today. I keep getting the error message Fatal: Unable to find PCM size. I have written to Diablo but dont want to wait until tommmorow to get a answer. Anyone ever seen this one? Thanks

Tim thanks for the info. You might want to check my profile before you send the welcome message. I am labeled as a new user but I have posted before. I have also recieved this message on the other posts. Will I always get this welcome post on evey message I post?

BTW, I'm sure that one of the Predator users will be along shortly to help out. But it is a holiday weekend and lots of our regulars are enjoying time with their other family so you might not hear anything until tomorrow.

They did not even ask what version I was running. I buy a NEW 400 item that does not work out of the box. And this is all they can come up with? I will now have to go spend 40.00 more to get a cable and power supply and waste more time on a fix that might not even fix my problem. Looks like a choose the wrong brand to try.

That's Diablo's standard answer. Sort of like Superchips: mail it to us and we'll update it. $400? Did you buy it from MotorHaven.com, and if so, did you put in the coupon code in the coupon box when checking out? Also, there was a discounted update kit on the same page as MotorHaven's Predator selection, for about 30% less.
I've never personally seen this error code but I suggest trying again, following the key cycle procedure exactly.

I had a problem with mine one time with an invalid license message. I called
Dan at Diablo and we fixed the problem over the phone from my truck.
He was very helpful and professional. Try loading your program again. Follow
the instructions to a "T".

I'm sorry about that. During the Christmas holidays MotorHaven has literally gotten tuners in and sent them all out within 2-3 days so the stock is fresh. Looks like there's an issue with non-updated units coming from Diablo. Normally, this is checked but with the rapid turn-around the assumption has been that the units are updated straight from Diablo. Arrgggghhh, time to put the laptop back out in the shipping area.

Just like with any supply chain...
the latest revisions may not be on the in-transit items unless someone takes the time to do it...
and even then with a good company that DOES the updates so quickly,
you are best served with an on line method of updating it...
This may be the first I've seen someone unhappy with the "new" truck you get after being "predatorized" !!!! Most complain about the sore jaws from grinning so much

Invalid license message.......oops you screwed up, call Diablo, you need a reset.
Unable to find PCM size? New one to me......Call Diablo and talk to an actual person.

I had the same problem...You need to update the preditor from your computer...You need a serial cable and a power supply for the preditor..Go to preditors website and follow the instructions...All the parts can be bought from Radio Shack...Very easy to do..
