Spicer Model 24 Transfer Case
Does it have a high and low side when in 4WD?
And also, what is the shifting pattern?
I put my truck up on jack stands and tried to determine what happened with the shifter in different positions and by then turning the driveshaft by hand.
It appears that there are 4 different shifter positions.
With the shifter all the way forward both front and rear driveshafts are engaged.
Then there is a spot in the middle where both are disengaged.
Then there is a spot where the rear driveshaft is engaged.
And then when the shifter is all the way back both front and rear driveshafts are engaged. The shifter **** only moves about an inch from the 3rd and 4th (back) position.
I would like to know what is suppose to happen before I take it for a test drive. I may need to pull off the Warn locking hubs also as one of them stops about half way between free and lock.
