,For about a year or so, I started hearing a diesel sound coming from
the transmission and it goes away when depress the clutch, and will stay
there when release it, and yes it's tran problem so out there if you own a 93-95 RAnger 2wd 5 spd mazda w/at least 120k you may notice this noise,
it's not a clutch problem or throw out bearing!! keep an eye on, you may
have the same problem is me, remember all these years same models manual
Mazda trans are builted in the same way, to test the noise, find a quiet area
roll down your window get your head out, and listen to it work your clutch
in-out,you can keep driving your truck but you never know when it will break
down, I got this info from 2 diferent shops and they told me it's a common
problem with those trucks. You'll be the judge!!
What I know of, some internal transmission part it's going bad, sorry can't recall
it's name, maybe someone here knows more of it. I'm ok working on engines but I
don't mess with trans, I let the pros work on it.
El Conquistador,
That sounds accurate!, but I couldn't said for sure, one thing I'm sure, it's a related
to the torque tran/clutch, you can hear this very clear when work the clutch in-out.
when car's not moving, in neutral.
well, im not a big tranny guy, just the basic stuff plus what i have learned from this forum. its not the syncros if you can only hear it in neutral w/ the truck stationary. could be the clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder. hopefully a member who knows these trannies will chime in soon.
