whats the best cold air intake, i know everybody has a opinion so fill me in, gonna be gettin a predator or edge to go along with it. fill me in guys. thank you.
Big debate will be either a k&n, tymar, or homemade. All about what you want to spend. I made a homemade that is fraction of the cost of the other two companies and is basicly the same thing, I used a k&n filter because I've read too many tests that show it flows better and when taken care of it filters better then a paper element. Lots will disagree with that, but we run them on all our race cars too without a problem, and i've never found any grit in the intake hose like other say they do with a k&N (probably because they don't know how to take care of it)
I know exactly how to take care of a K&N. I've ran them on every gas engine I had. But the simple fact is the Tymar kicked the crap out of the K&N on my powerstroke. I started with a K&N and was pretty smitten with it. But I kept hearing about this Tymar and had to try it. I put it on and noticed an immediate difference so I was sold. Just my opinion.
