Door panel removal is pretty easy with little chance to cause any damage. Start by removing the two screws by the handle and the small plastic piece around the handle. A small screwdriver is all you need for the plastic piece. Once that is done start at one of the bottom corners and pull/pry to get the panel off. You can use a putty knife or buy a tool for this purpose. Once you've loosed one corner use your hands and pull the panel off on the bottom, front and back sides. Lift up to remove the panel from a channel and the lock button on top.
The panel is held in by plastic push connectors. If any stay in the door, remove them and put them back on the panel before replacing. If you destroy one or two, they can be purchased at the dealer of auto parts stores. You will also have to remove the power window, door lock and mirror controls if you want to completely remove the panel.
First time takes about 15 minutes, subsequent removals should be five minutes or less.
