Bored out of my mind, but somebody's gotta babysit these machines.

There was some weird circumstance that some fella had to appear in court. I didnt ask the judge. Im on a need to know basis. I get to transport the moron back to jail, then go home to my family.

Working :

Yes I'm still on the clock as well to keep the highways open for the Christmas Traffic but only had to work till 7:00 PM last night and was home in time to see the grand kids open their gifts as they have to stagger the weekend and Dinners at 3 locations . Missed the Dinner per say but it is nice to be home for the sparkling eyes and smiles when the paper comes off all those goodies .

Looks like I may get all of the day at home and enough time to blow our own driveway but will miss part of our eldest son's visit tomorrow as the weather man (or woman) is telling us we will be back at it by 8:00PM tonight .

I do not mind having to work the holidays to keep the highways open and that is where my Christmas spirt is expressd . The $500 days at double time and a half for the holidays also creates an incentive when the 2 days will pay for Santa's visit to the house .

Have a Happy and Safe Xmas Folks and drive safe . Remember when you see those plows that we are trying to clean the roads .

Thumbs up dedicated

Now there's an individual that's not only dedicated, he has the Christmas Spirit! Good for you! I truly mean that too.

I almost always have worked Christmas. When I worked for govenrment contracting I was required to work every holiday. Great part of the deal is everyone got paid for it whether you worked it or not. The person that actually had to work it got an extra $7 a shift, not a hour. I usually got "ASKED" to work it because I didn't have any dependents. Once, I was told that I need to work because I married a person that had previously been married- and that is not like a real marriage. You learn how strange people are when it comes time for alittle sacrifice. Think of yourself as a better person and not a greedy person that thinks of themselves before others. Alot of times I would have volunteered anyway- just like the point that some people don't think others need to be around their friends , family or loved ones- just them.

I worked today. 0700-1900. and tomorrow; only consolation is that I get triple time (less government taxes). Thousand dollar days are pretty hard to pass up.
