4x4 Light

I just went through 20 pages of search results and didn't find any answers...

I just purchased a '95 F-150 4x4 that came equiped with the push button 4x4 with auto hubs. It was converted to warn manual hubs before I bought it (YEAH!). My problem is that the light next to the 4x4 button doesn't work and neither does the light on the dash. The 4x4 Low Range light comes on next to the button and on the dash. And yes the 4x4 is working (damn good thing too, freaking ohio weather...) The PO said it worked the last time he used the 4x4 but then he parked the truck for several months and now no lights. It's not a hudge deal but I hate things that are broken... I doubt it is the bulbs burnt out because it would be weird that they both went at the same time. Any suggestions?

Usually they're not going in if you see that. My money says bulbs if it engages and disengages, strange as that is.

Could it have something to do with the fact that it used to have auto hubs? I guess I will try and pull the dash apart to test the light...

Check fuse #18 in the fuse panel. It should be a 15 amp. Also check fuse # 12 and #6. You should also have a electronic module somewhere that controls all this. Check the connections. I haven't a clue where it's mounted.

I doubt it's because of the hub change, the electronics don't know anything about that. I have an electric transfer case and manual hubs where it used to have automatics. Lights and case work perfectly.
