Question Vertical mounted master cylinder

Problem is petal goes to floor and I can see no way to add/check fluid.

This MC is mounted on the support bracket for the steering inside of firewall.
The petal push rod from above straight down and line is out the other end at bottom.

The booster unit is under frame next to driveshaft and has cyl distributed to wheels.

No tubes or lines going to or from the MC top. The MC looks like a normal unit and the familar removable top would be facing against the firewall. Looking at the front of the firewall there is nothing coming through no bolt heads, nada. Surely you do not have to remove the cyl to fill it.

The ford motor co I.D. plate says 1-73 and has these numbers raised
M50HVR15696 178 M504 696-15-74.
Any help to point me to where I can find info on this entire power train deeply appreciated, I am out in the Texas boonies, dry county and bad roads, lol need to leave.
The body on this chassis is Condor II 28' in excellent condition. I found a repair bill that said 390 eng. runs smooth. Can't ask prior owner questions, he left the planet.
Thanks Cypah

you've got me, I've never seen such a thing. I would guess you need to re mount it elsewhere. other than that its typical F-500 running gear.

There has to be a remote mount reservoir somewhere with a hose between the MC and the reservoir.

On a motorhome it may not even be a Ford part. It may be some aftermarket unit.

In the Condor II owners manual it say brakes are ford.
I took pictures but I can't understand how to post them from the FAQ, not a programmer.

after seeing your photos, https://www.ford-trucks.com/lc/lc.ph...age/brakes.htm it looks a little like a C-series clutch master cylinder. if you pull back the top rubber boot, (there is a tab to pulll it aside) then add fluid there. even though the pushrod goes there, there is a fill hole in there too.

I hope it works.

BTW bleeding the system on the frame is a pain.

Lightbulb That makes sense

Ohhhh I think I get it! This is really not the actual MC It is the master to a slave on the frame. Being higher would it be self bleeding?
Do I remove the rod from the top or just pour the fluid in beside it.
Also poses ? of the fluid used by the actual braking circuit. I guess best bet is to gently move the rig to where I can crawl around under and trace it all out.
Thanks a lot for the help.

the master on the frame is pushed by a slave, controlled by the small master up there. no you shouldnt have to remove the rod.
