Question to those with Flint Prem Cloth seats!

I decided to to get my f150 with the Prem Cloth seats since I like the idea of staying warmer in the winter then leather would and more cozy to lay in the back seat as I watch a movie on my DVD player! lol Anyway....I did notice how easily the seats mark up! If I open the door in the rain and rain drops hit the seat, I get stuck with little dark spots all over the seats! Even when it dries! If I accidently spill just a little bit of water out of my water bottle, I also mark up the seats even when it was just plain water!! After everything dries, I have to take my can of seat cleaner and clean the seats EVERY WEEK!! I baby the heck out of this truck and I don't know how to avoid spotting up the seats just from the rain itself, snow, dirt from clothes, ect..........How do you guys do it? Any trick you know you can tell me? I used a hole can of Scotch Guard on the front and back seats, but no luck, still spotting up....any advice would be great!! Thank you!!! Merry X-mas you guys!!!!!!

i tried the scotch guard too....worked great on the carpet but the seats just soaked it up with no luck. i am in the army (infantry) so i am always covered in mud...i keep a box of trash bags to throw over the seats...and i drive in my underwear alot with a bed load of muddy clothes and equipement. i think i will invest in a set of seat covers asap. btw...3 cans of scotch guard did nothing...but a custom shop claimed they had better stuff that would work...I would check into paying to get it done.

These are the most stainable (if that's a word) seat ever made. Got a small stain on the drivers side, nothing removed it. Tried a little Oxyclean, now have a bigger stain. First time I've been unable to remove a stain. Thinking about leather or something covers. Anybody using decent looking seat covers?

Go to Sears and buy a small tub of Capture in the vacuum cleaner section. Sprinkle on, brush in and vacuum out stain. Wont keep it from staining, but is a great cleaner.

Tried it. I have a Hoover home steam cleaner, comes with that stuff. No luck. If it hits the seat, it stays there.
One of these days I'll buy some of those 500 buck leather covers I suppose.

I got some type of interior Scotchguard and exterior protection package from my dealer at the time of sale. Since I've owned the truck for 7 months, I haven't noticed any stains on my seats. Water spots seem to dry up and disappear.

If you're looking for a cheap seat-cover you can get the universal set from Cabelas.com for $60.00. I have pics in my gallery, they're not pretty or form-fitting but they do work. They're water proof and easily removed and tossed in the washer. I also spend alot of time in the field and enjoy hunting/fishing on my off-time too.

I thought it was just me! I can't believe they charge $$ for fabric that stains so easily. I had an Explorer for 8 years prior to this. Light grey velvety seats. No spots ever. I love my F150 but these seats were a ripoff. Anyhow, Woolite OxyDeep works great on my stains -- so far, chocolate (I think) and something sort of greasy.

Funny how these things always appear after I let my hubby borrow the truck. Luckily, he found the great cleaner so I don't worry so much anymore.
