I spoke with a guy two days ago that has this setup. He loved it and has had no problems. We both take our truck to the same mod friendly dealer though.
I have a friend with a Dodge with all the Bully Dog toys. Swears by them. He's had other tuners too.
But, it's a need vs want vx $$$. What are you going to use the power for? Do you expect your Ford service department to still treat your truck/warrantee the same after these mods are installed. One that's easily removable is my choice.
your wright it maybe a want or need to want depending how much money you want to spend. but thats not the case. i just want to figure out from fellow 6.0 users if they have ever heard or used this particular product? and far as service work being done. i have brought my class 8 trucks here for over twenty years and they will bend over backwords for me regardless of the situation.
The dyno dominator is rated at 171 HP on the DURAMAX. It doesn't look as hot after you read the fine print. The PSD is 146- arguably not any better than most of the other products on the market.
I bet if you set that thing on its highest setting and tow like it says too, the egt's will sky rocket. Six Guns and Speedloaders defuel and you can't (shouldn't) tow on any higher than 4 even with air flow and modified pipes
Most tuners/chips will go over this number at the dyno. My real opinion is the dyno is worthless. It is not like you can stay at this power band for very long anyway. I would like to know what the max HP for a sustained pull is without blowing a 6.0 up or damaging it. This is the information that would be important to me. Throwing numbers out is a joke. Very few of us need that kind of power anyway. I bought the six gun and leave it on #2. It is more than enough and I cannot keep the wheels from spinning if I really put my foot into it. oh well that is my 2 cents.
