Just Found That My 73 F-350 Scs Has A Dana 70 W/ 4:10 Ratio. Can Annyone Tell Me What The Difference Is Between The Dana 60 And Dana 70?

The 70 is bigger. The F350 has a higher load rating than the F250 so it uses a heavier duty axle assembly. I would love to stumble accross a 4.11 70 locally for my 77 1/2 F250 4X4. Hawkrod

The D70 is all around bigger. Larger axle tubes, USUALLY a 35 spline 1.5" axle shaft which dwarfs the 30 spline D60 shaft, 10.5" ring gear (I think the D60 is only 9.75"). That's an excellent axle you have there.

If I remember correctly, the ring gear on the 135 is around 12". '135' stands for 13,500 lbs, the axle's gross weight rating.
