Since we've been talking about guitars lately . . .
What do you use to clean your guitar(s)? I usually just wipe mine off with a cotton cloth, but that doesn't seem to be enough sometimes. I suppose I'll just end up going down to the music shop and getting a cleaner/cloth of some sort. Any tips on what-to-do and what-not-to-do when cleaning a guitar?
Gibson Luther's choice Hi Gloss Polish, they also make fretboard conditioner and string cleaner. You can get the polish all by itself or it comes bundled with all 3. I have had good luck with this product on electric or acoustic and all different brands of guitars.
I don't know about Gibson guitar polish but I do know that Martin guitar polish sure cleans the finish on my drums which are Pearl Masters with a lacquer finish. Makes them shine!!!
I've used Martin Guitar polish for years. Kyser has a whole line of Dr. Stringfellow guitar care products that are supposed to be good, I've only used the string cleaner and it seems to work well. In a pinch, I've even used furniture polish. -TD
