If you mean the crankshaft pulley bolt, I've seen two approaches. One is to torque it to 125 ft-lbs. The other is to tighten it somewhere in the neighborhood of 60 ft-lbs, and then tighten it 90 degrees.
If you have a Ford bolt, it is TTY, so a new one should be used. I think I paid $3-$4.
