I sure do hope it gets a higher powerd Motor like the old Harley Editions. I road in a S/C Harley Screw and that thing had crazy power! Gave the Hemi's a run for the money.

 

All the old Harleys were detuned Lightnings --basically a Lightning engine with a couple less psi of boost. Perhaps that could be the reason that Ford is pushing back the next generation Lightning is because they want to make a really good Harley.

 

well considering they said the Lightning will be pushed till atleast 2007? I'll put my money on a Harley with 300 hp, initialy atleast.

 

It should have more than 300, that's what the 5.4L is already at.

 

I would hope for 425hp at least that would be sick!!!!

 

Why stop there? Chevy likes to put the 'Vette engine in most of their "performance" cars and Dodge HEMI's everything, why not drop in the Ford GT engine?

But seriously, they should keep the Harley supercharged. The supercharged 3V should put out at least 450 hp considering the next gen Saleen S281-E will use a 4.6L 3V to put out 500 hp.

 

The last Harley had 340hp

I guess it really doesn't trip my trigger. To me it just looks like another lame truck on "dubs" with a fancy Harley logo.

Looks like they took a King Ranch and slapped a Harley sticker on it.

All wheel drive....Right...

What's wrong with just plain ole 2wd and a simple 4wd model???

Next thing we'll know there will be IRS in it.

 

I love the 02 Harley, is a beautiful truck, it has a lot of power, tows heavy loads without prorblem. What else can you ask for?
