Good Deal?

Removing and delivering the engine and tranny myself I am getting a 300 Inline 6, C4 Trans & Torque Converter rebuilt for $1300, is this a good deal?

Sounds too good to me - that's a lot of rebuild for $1300 - did you check to see what the rebuilder is calling a rebuild?

What's replaced and what do they machine for the rebuild?

Completely rebuilt head, balance crank, all new bearings and seals, new pistons & rings, bore block .030 over., new lifters/springs, new Isky cam(provided by me). Not sure about the tranny but the guy has been rebuilding them for 30 years and has nothing but good feedback. My Dad is his supervisor so he's probably giving me a good discount from what he would normally charge.
