sas + ring and pinion
im thinking about doing a sas and was wondering if there was a axel i could use that i could swap out my ring and pinion gear. by the way what year front axel will work with my 88 f150?

78/79 Dana 44 would be the "easiest" to swap in. Some of the earlier ones pre 77 were drum brake and should be converted over to disc. The ring and pinion will swap over. Do alot of searching and reading before you take on this swap, if there is a part you don't get make you you figure it out before you start, there is some fabricating to this swap that you CANNOT avoid, unless you buy the $2,000 kit from fabtech...which IMO is a waste of money.

so what all wont swap over on to the 88 from the 78? right now im only up for a couple inches of lift, just enought for 35 boggers, i just dont want to brake somthin on my current axle cause i can use this as a trade in thing so i figure do it while it still works
