As long as I could hunt Moose and Bear all hours of the day. I would be a happy camper. But hunting season for them is probably in the shot time frame for day light. Oh well, it was a good thought.
Tom
Well TWolf by the time hunting season rolls around (in Sept.) the days have gotten shorter and we have about the same daylight hours as most of the country. So wecan't hunt moose "all hours of the day" as you put it. Just from sun up to sun down like the rest of ya!
[QUOTE=heavnboundThey sell "happy lights" for those with S.A.D. (Seasonal Affective Disorder) that is suppose to simulate daylight. Don't know how good they work, but at least it's a recognized problem nowadays.[/QUOTE]
I know a few people with this condition. One of them goes way south when it gets dark. I'm not depressed or anything like that about the darkness, I just hate not having enough hours in the day to get anything done. It won't be so bad when I have a shop but when I'm working outside it sucks.

heavnbound, next year in Sept, would you go find the biggest Bull moose that you can and tie him up to a tree for me. That way I can shoot in during daylight and won't have to drag him so far. It is my dream to hunt Moose, bear and caribou in either Alaska or Canada. I have some really good friends who live in Wisilla (sp) who said to come up any time. But I have to have money before going. My uncle used to live in Fairbanks. Some guy wrote a book about him called; "90 Days on the Yukon". Great book.
