Ok I have a 84 B2 with the 2.8L v6 and the 2100 Motorcraft carb. I went out mudding again and I sucked up a lot of water. I let the carb dry out and ran some carb cleaner through it and everything seemed ok until I started heading home I had really bad acceleration and once up to speed I had a hard time keeping the bronco up to speed. I nursed it home and let it sit until the next morning I went out and started it up and still ad the same problem so i started to check the fuel filter and fuel pressure and both looked good I also replaced the air filter due to the mud I was extremely clogged. I let the bronco run for a while and drove it around and eveything seemed to be working much better I got in a couple hours later and I had the same thing happen but this time it didn't go away after I let it sit. Once the bronco gets past 15mph it starts to accelerate like it should but up until then it's almost like I'm not even giving it gas. Also I still have a hard time keeping it up to speed. It idles fine as well. I'm thinkging it's a dirty carb and I just need to get a repair kit and clean the carb but I thought I would see if any one had some ideas.
nobody has posted nething so i'll throw in my 2cents... try checking the oxygen sensor and make shure that the catalitic converter is ok (one sign of a clog is that if u let it run for a bit untill it gets nice and warm, then look at the exaust pipe entering it and itz glowing red, it is clogged). my dad's mini van had kind of a simmiler problem, it would idle, but as soon as u tried 2 do anything it almost didnt go. we never tried to push it up to (whats 15mph in km lol) well, we never tried to get up to 15km/h.
hope this helps and good luck
thanks I will take a look at that tomorrow. I had kind of the same problem when I first bought the B2 and it drove just fince after putting some new gas and carb cleaner in it the more I drove it the better it got. I put some fuel additive carb cleaner in it yesterday to see if it would help and it did to a point. I'm waiting for a warm day or a day when the base auto shop is open to get in and clean the carb good.
someone correct me if Im wrong, but an 84 wouldnt have one.
it was just a suggestion, oldest vehicle ive dealt with is the 86B2 i just bought on the 16th, and i assumed it had an O2 sensor seeing that pretty much everything dose now.
Thanks for your suggestion DJ FX every once in a while some one will think of something that no one else will! I think the problem is the Distributor cap is cracked! I just ordered a new one we will see soon enough

And a good suggestion, Im just opening my mouth when I shouldn't be, I just assumed based on age it didnt have one, I just learned that these had feedback carbs, so its quite possible it does I should learn to keep my mouth shut I suppose.
hey guys thanks for all the suggestions the problem seems to be clearing up on it's own I drove it around today for a while and everything worked much better then it has in a while mabye I was a little to rough on it when I was out offroading with some guy I work with trying to keep up with the big boys! I might not have my B2 much longer though seems that a guy i work with need a cheap car to get him back and forth from work and to the commisary so I made him a deal looks like one more month with my little B2
