We did a 24x32 2 door garage kit for a costomer who got his own kit from 84 lumber for around 4grand. Drywall & insulation he spent 1100, lectric was 595 including meter box. It took a 2 man crew with a framing & roofing nailer 1 week to finish. Look into a floating slab. It looks like " ] " turned 90 degree left. The two short legs will go on the door side and opposite side, & are 16'' deep, with a 4'' slab between. That ran 84.00 per sq. yrd of cement or 14x84.00. We laid 3/8 rebar every 2'. To figure total cement youll need you multiply the width in whole feet x length in whole feet then divide by 80 for a 4'' slab or 90 for a 6'' slab. For the short legs figure 12'' x length divided by 80 x 3. Remember 4 & 4 & 4 =12 & the 4'' slab is 16'' and that is enough for a floating slab. PS dont forget to do the 12'' x ? two times because you have two short leg sides to do.

I just completed a 36X40 pole barn style shop with 10' side walls. The inside walls and ceiling are insulated and lined with white steel panels. It has a 80000 btu heater, a 8x12 and 9x16 front doors and a 8x12 rear door. It is plumbed for hot and cold water and has a 200 amp service. I did all of the work with the exception being the concrete floor and I have less than $15,000 invested. The plans and all of the materials came from the Menards home store chain.

Talking

I can't offer any specifics; just some advice: An old farmer once told me that when you build an outbuilding, calculate the maximum size you will EVER need, multiply it times 3, and it will be almost big enough. That advice has never failed me!
