2nd post from Ohio newbie

Hey guy's just wondered if anyone can tell me if removing the muffler from a 6.0, will sound the same as removing one from a 7.3? I did this to my 7.3 and got a "flutter", will I get the same sound or will the whistle be more pronounced on this motor? Just wondering. Thanks.

From the ones I have heard on the road (mine is still stock) you will get a *lot* louder whistle, and a lot deeper growl under load. (Some people are going to love that, some people are going to hate that, I guess.) I didn't hear a lot of flutter, whereas you can clearly hear the flutter on straightpiped 7.3s and Cummins Rams. But I bet it flutters some.
