I have a 1999 Ford Expedition which has a mal-functioning interior, heater control. When the blender **** (or temperature ****) is turned to the cool position, air from the dashboard vents remains heated.
The truck also has a rear-mounted a/c and heater console unit. It is working properly and unaffected by the heater control problem at the dashboard vents.
I would appreciate any advice for trouble-shooting the above problem.
Well, I have the same problem, sort of. If I turn mine to cold, its cold... if I turn it to hot, its hot. I just dont get any in between control. Either all hot, or all cold.
You might want to check and make sure your **** isn't broke. Pull it off and look at the back of it for cracks. If it is cracked, you can use one of the other ***** on the dash that will fit it, until you can get another one (junk yards).
the "****" to move between cold and hot is a potientiometer (variable resistor) it is quite possible that this is blown- is the front and rear controlled by two different thermostat *****?
