Unhappy Truckperformance.com

I have recently had the worse buying experience with truckperformance.com. Anyone can have a bad day should I considered this to be atypical? Has any else experience bad service?

Ordered a one piece putco grill on or about 26 Oct by phone. Received the wrong grill about 3 weeks later. Called to get a return authorization number, they agreed to pay for return shipping by Fedex and to send correct grill; I also asked the salesman to check the grill part # to ensure it was a one piece grill. I was ensured it was a one piece grill. Waited 2 weeks for Fedex label, called company to find out the manager had not authorized the mailing of the return label. Finally got the label 5 days later. Fearing the worse, I call the sales department to verify that they were going to send a one piece grill and not the six piece grill. I was assured again that it was a one piece. Received grill on or about 4 December. Guess what, it was the wrong grill again. They sent the 6 piece grill. Called on 8 December for a return authorization, they would not give me one until they checked with the Putco(manufacturer) to ensure it was not thier mistake. Call back on 10 December, received a return authorization number; again they agreed to send me a FEDEX label to pay for shipping and then send me a one piece grill. It is now 21 December. I have not received the Fedex shipping label yet. Oh by the way I contacted Putco by email, got the correct part number for the grill and gave it to the salesman. I wonder will I now get the correct grill. I have only used truckperformance a few times but I have used stylinconcepts many times. Never have I had such a mess.

I have had both positive and negative dealings with them. I try to use different retailers when possible (Motorhaven mainly).

That does suc. I've ordered stuff from them many times. Haven't had anyproblems yet,

I did order a tonneau cover from truckaddons. They sent me the wrong one. Still trying to get it straightened out and it's been three months. sigh

Truckaccerizor sent me a bad bed rug. They sent me a replacement one ASAP. Also contacted me to see if all was OK. Wish more places was like that.

To add fuel to the fire. I call truckperformance today. The free shipping label was signed by the manager today (or so they say). It took 10 days for the manager to sign the papers. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN. NEVER. Customer satisfaction does not seem to be their goal. For those who have never had a problem, I hope you never receive the wrong part and it was your fault, you may never get the right part. It was their fault and it has taken 2 months and counting for a simple grill.

Lowered_250,

Thanks for the tip. It's like a good mechanic, sometimes you have to look around for awhile before you find one you trust.

I have ordered many mods. Best places to buy if they carry what you want are Summit, Jegs and StreetBeatCustoms.com

Angry Same Problem

I have only had problems with truck performance, ive placed 4 orders with them and 3 were messed up, the 4th was a set of fog lights. The one that really ticked me off was I got a set of Hellwig helper springs for my f250, i cant remember dates as it has been about 2 years now, anyways, they sent it out to me, but i never got it, 2 months went by and I called them again and they were like uh we shipped it, check with fedex, so i called them and they delivered it to another house and someone signed for it but left it on their front porch not knowing what to do with it, but fedex wouldnt tell me the location, so i called t.p back and they sent another, fedex screwed up again and i never got that one, the third time i got that one! BUT they sent a rear add a lead kit, not a front add a leaf kit-hahaha, so i call them back and they are like uh i guess well send ya another one, and I asked the idiot straight on the phone, do all of your customers experience this kind of trouble when ordering parts? If so its a wonder you stay in business!!!! After 6 months of working with retards i got my part but I vowed never ever ever under no reason will i buy from them again, but thats my 2 cents--dinty

Dont feel bad they had diablo programers for $280 and i went to order it and they wont give it to me for that price because its below what they pay for it.Not my problem someone screwed up on there web page and put the wrong price.I wont deal with someone that dont honor there mistakes. Now they say they will give it to me for $303 i told them nope.

Frankly, I'm not going to let someone screw me over because of a typo. A worker is worth his wage and expecting them to send you a Predator for $280 is highly unrealistic. I'll do a lot of things to make customers happy, and fork out money to do it, but I will not get bent by someone who knowingly tries to take advantage of me.
