Limited slip?
Just a quick question...any one every install a limited slip rear in their trucks? I am looking for the easiest swap available. I have a 95 f150, 300 six, five speed man. and a 2.73 rear end. I know it would be relatively easy to change the rear axle to a 3.55 limited slip from a junk yard, but I like getting 18-20 mpg. Did Ford ever make a 3.11 limited slip? Or would an aftermarket rearend be an option?

Ford made 3.08, 3.31 and 3.55 ratio 8.8" rear axles. You can also re-gear the axle you have now and put any ratio you want in it (provided it is made) and any type of aftermarket traction differential made for that axle (there are alot of choices).
