Problem - Hypertech Iii Prog.

I recently got a Hypertech Prog. I have to say that the improvement was slim certainly not worth the $300 plus dollars I spent on it. It has an option to return your vehicle back to stock which I selected, but my truck (F150) isnt running like it was before I used the programmer. If I reset, my computer, will it return me back to true stock settings. Secondly, is any other chip/programmer that is better then what I have? I am ready to trash the Hyper Tech. Ebay here I come.

Thanks
Coach

Give it up to 5 cold start cycles after any programming change, including returning it to stock, for the adaptive learning to settle the idle, timing and shift characteristics. Yes, there are better programmers: Superchips Microtuners and Diablo Sport Predators.

I think he was referring to selling the Hypertech on eBay.

I have put the superchips microtuner on my truck, the 87 octane download and couldnt feel hardly any change, I was wandering if the the higher octane settings are worth paying for in gas, any info appreciated.

You won't get much improvement with 87 octane because not much can be done to advance the timing. The 87 octane tune is mainly there for the tranny and custom parameters, not for power.
