Need Help checking brake control

Need help with a "TEKONSHA" brake controler on a 94 F350 T/D. How do I check the function of the brake controler, wiring diagram ? Understand the brake, signals etc. Need to check 5th wheel/pulltrailer plug and the goose neck plug. All advice will be appreciated.

With a test light, test for juice at the brake control wire pin on each plug when the key is in run and the brake control is activated by hand. Otherwise, hook up the trailer and, while driving, without pushing on the truck brake pedal, activate the brake controller by hand (with the sliding **** on the controller) and feel for the trailer to be tugging on the truck trying to stop it.

If you hook up a trailer with brakes, all you need to do it look at the light on the controller. Check that:

light is green when hooked up.
stays green when lights are on
turns red (may have to adjust settings on dials) when you press brake.

If that is all true, then take it for a test drive. If the brakes aren't locked with lights on or off and it rolls free, and when you push the brake the brakes pull (will have to adjust) you are all set!

You can do this w/o a trailer, it involves more than I would want to do, such as hooking up test circuits after the plug. My advice it to use your trailer or go somewhere where you can borrow one.
