Have a quick question about Header Gaskets. I have a set of BBK shorties on my truck and I have already went through two set's of gaskets(both BBK) and now the second set is blown out. So I was wondering is it worth spending over $30 for a set of copper or aluminum gaskets? Because they say that you will never( ? ) buy another set. Thanks for the help....
It used to be an every weekend thing until finally they stayed tight. I did that with both sets of gaskets. So I just wondering about slapping a set of copper or aluminum gaskets on there to quite it up a lot.
I've been running Percy's aluminum header gaskets on my 95 5.0 with shorty headers. I've had them for over a year with no leaks and the header bolts never loosen up, after you install your headers just retighten the bolts everyday for about a week and you should be good to go.
