truckin magazine has a picture of a spied 2007 super duty (feb 2005 page 23) its all covered up on the front end but they say its going to have a new "aggressive" look. "bull nose shaped (front end)", "giant blue oval ford emblem", "super duty in block letters across the leading edge of the hood" and "functional vents on the fenders"
this is exactly why i didnt run out and buy an 05'
I can't wait for the '07 model. I need one soon. Soon as they have some rebates for the SD F-250. My dealer is supposed to let me know. They SHOULD make them better every year and if one can wait 10-15 years they should REALLY be something.

I would not hold my breath, but there may be a chance in hell so i wont call it "impossible".. see no large auto company ever intoroduced a "best selling" model vehicle and only ran it two years and changed it dramaticlly.. BUT the 05, is not much differnt from the previous years so there may be a slight chance they would change it.. but id bet ever pretty penny i had.... they wont.. think about it.. it just dont make sense to spend Millions on Millions of dollars to reconfigure the assmembly lines ever two years.... specially when your the best selling heavy duty truck out there.... just dont make sense.... since the only differance on the current model is coil springs up front, and engine mods... well i guess it would be overdue on a total remake of the p/u.. so call it possible..... but as a general rule.. the 05 is a differnt beast then the previous models.. and they dont change them every two years.... i sincerly hope you dont wait two years and then get dissappointed.... dude if you can afford to wait two years for a serious tow/haul vehicle... then you probably dont need as a serious tow/haul vehicle...

no offense but the 05' is only a mid model remake. its a transition model made so the new model wont be a dramatical difference and to keep sales brisk.
the super duty will be out again in 07', i'll bet the farm on that one. the new suspension, headlights, bumper look incorporated in the spied pic. lets all wait a couple of years and see what happens.
as to waiting for a hauler, my 01' does fine with what i have now. but if you know my situation then you can speak for me anytime.
p.s. the proof is in the pudding, go out and take a look at the mag yourself.
the pic i saw didnt remind me of the tonka. the fenders right in the front were too round. there are sharp turns on that tonka concept. also the shape of the hood is different.
i think what ever ford does with the superduty will depend on how well the new f-150 does with its 27different configurations. the superduty will be 7 years old in 2006. so 2007 would be the proper time for a major revision. the new 05 front grill bolts up to previous years. only major change for 05 was the front suspension... the interior is a little freshened but nothing major.
1, There is a prequel to the Batman series coming out next summer called Batman Begins or something.
2, The '05 Super Duty has 1,200+ different parts than the '04. That's alot more than headlights, grille, and bumper. Also for comparison the Totally redesigned F150 had 1300 or so new parts.
3, I spoke with John Edgars of the Ford Trucks R&D team while they were here for the International Auto Show in Orlando and he says the plans are for a larger twin turbocharged diesel (didn't specify builder...I'd love it to be CAT). Also it will be as close to resembling the Tonka concept as possible. he says the front facia and subtle interior changes are just a stepping stone to the totally redesigned '07.
