I'm not up on what's the "best" in CB right now, but I'm certain most of the ones sold at the Wally World are decent radios and most are fairly small.
Where to mount it depends on what you have for an interior. Center console? Tranny hump? you have long or short arms? Yes some people do have disportionaly short or long length arms - I fall into the short arm category. so I have to reach or lean over to adjust the radio. Accessing the glovebox with a seat belt on just doesn't happen with me.
