I just ordered the autospring 1.5inch front lift for my 04 FX4 CREW. How much with this lift actually raise the front end of my truck. The guy at autospring said the front will still sit a little lower than the rear, does anyone have any pictures of this lift on their truck? Also, will I be able to fit Nitto 325 60 18's on the Eagle 178 wheels with this 1.5 lift?
Thanks in advance!
From what I've come across, a 2-2½" front lift is what most people seem to use when leveling their trucks. I, personally, like the way the 2½" looks, 1½" might still be just a bit short.
I just installed the 2" kit yesterday. I did not align yet(which supposedly drops the front back down a little) I have the FX4 screw, and the rear is slightly higher than the front.I will try to post pics later. As of the moment, it is raised approx. 3"(measuring to license plate bracket) I did a lot of searches on this and found a lot of people confuse the 2" and 1.5" kits, calling the 2" kit 1.5" because the actual spacer is 1.5"(1 5/8" exactly) I would highly recommend the 2" Kevin at autospring helped me quite a bit
I have the 2 inch autospring installed at autospring. Made it look level to me wouldn't go any more than 2 inches. Put on some 295/70R17 nitto tires with weld velociti wheels. I have no rubbing what so ever but with those wheels and tires they will rub.
The 2" auto spring lift kit is a 1 5/8" spacer. This will give you the lift you want.....I have 178 eagle alloys and 325/60/18 nittos and they do NOT rub at all.
Someone did have how to pics, just can't remember who(you can do a search). I have the 2" kit(1.5"spacer). Installed it myself this past weekend and had it computer alinged. Rear sits 1" higher than front, which I think is perfect. As far as advise, I would try and have all the tools needed prior to install. I can't remember ALL the sizes(they were basic size standard/metric). You do need a 27mm standard depth socket and a 30mm(1 3/16") deepwell, these are for the lower strut nut and bolt.A couple of others: 18mm wrench(sway bar) 3/4" wrench. It's defenitely easier to have a helper to install strut bolt when you push down on upper arm.Use a wrench on the bolt stud and another on the nut to properly tighten the sway bar nut. It's not really that hard, I spent an extra 1/2hr fishing for the right size sockets.Alignment did't lower (MAYBE a 1/4"). I love the height and would do it again. Check my gallery.
