I currently have a 2003 F150, with the vinyl bench seat, and I was wondering if there would be any problems with installing a factory 60/40 split bench? Do they bolt in the same way as my current seat?
Also, I'm looking at a seat with a power driver's seat, would there be an easy way to run wires to power it?
The bolts and holes should be there, not sure about the wiring. Is your current bench seat have the seatbelts as part of the seat or are they attached to the cab? (I guess it would depend on if its a single cab or supercab/crewcab) I had a 2000 with a bench seat and it was really uncomfortable, I have the 60/40 seats on my 2002 and its alot better.
I believe the seatbelts are part of the seat. I don't think it's uncomfortable, but over long trips, it really hurts my lower back, because I can't recline it at all, or adjust lumbar. I bought the truck with the work truck group because it saved me $1200! Don't mind the grey bumpers, but the seat is starting to get to me!!!
The truck should have been maned.with a standard harness that would have a plug in for it.Pull the carpet up under your seat.It should be under there.Or maybe under the plate of the door sill.

Yea, that's what I meant. Ok for quick trips, but long trips and my back was killing me. You're best bet is probably a salvage yard, but remember if the seatbelts are part of the seat and it was a significant wreck, the tensioners go off and that would have to be replaced.
Yep. I completely forgot about the seatbelts not being part of the seat, but I picked the right one anyway!!!
Not sure whether or not I'll buy it, but it's tempting because I think it's on my route when I drive home for christmas. I just need to make sure I can wire the power seats up!
I just a seat replacement on my 99 f150. I removed the bench seat and installed a 60/40 split I purchased on eBay. There were some mods I had to do, the hole were there for the bolts, but I had to tap the threads and buy new bolts from the dealer. The seat belts had to changed but it all worked out great. I love the seats.

Thanks for the reply, zitzer, but I've decided not to go through with it after all. The auction for the seats I was gonna buy ended right after we had a power outage, so I couldn't bid....and I've decided I'm selling the truck anyways.
Thanks, though, and it's good to see you got it to work with few problems!
