'99 ranger 4x4 questions
I bought a '99 ranger 4x4 SC off-road 4.0 5 speed auto in Oct of '99 new. It has been in some very cold temps (-50F)last winter with no problems, heavy use of 4x4 because of snow, started right up. This fall so far in a much warmer climate it wants to creak over a lot before starting. The truck also seems to make a clicking noise coming from the engine area when in in park or idle at a stop light, is that normal and or what is it? After leaving a stop light or sign the truck seems to hesitate before taking off, and since this truck has the 4.10 rear end it should move, but it doesn't. It seems to get good gas milage, 18-21. The truck also seems to have a hard time stoping at slow speeds, it feels like i am pressing the brake down while someone is giving is gas. has anyone had this problem before? The truck has 12,350 miles roughly and has not been abused or 4 wheeled. I'm really just wondering if anything is wrong with my truck or if this is all normal. Thanks for the help.
