I had the trash bag holder off and was looking at the back of the cigarette lighter and it looks like its just a plug that can be undone and pulled apart. I haven't done this yet, and the original reason for my asking how to do it, was for the "turn ****" convenience of the TS Instigator 
However right now, I've just got it hanging in the driver's side glove box.

I was wondering if you got your power pt working. I am having the same problem. I tried pulling it straight out but it wouldnt come. Not sure if i just need to pull harder or if there is another way. Thanks
