Which truck should I get?
I currently have a 1994 Ranger 2.3L, I want to get a long bed and bigger engine to haul my dirt bike. Was considering newer Ranger with 4.0L and long bed or F150 LB. Heard the 4.0L has marbling problem and low gas mileage. Should I just get a F150 with a 4.2L V6 or 4.6L V8? I like 1995/1996 or should I go 1997 or better? Won't be towing.

i really dont see why you would need a bigger motor to haul a dirt bike. i have a 89 ranger 4x4 2.3l with a short bed and have had it full with sand bags (almost 3500 lbs.)and hauled it with no problem. but i can see why you would want a bigger bed. have you considered a trailer to haul your bikes? that would save you a lot of money.

I have a 93 splash with a 4.0L engine. It has 92000 miles on it.
I have pulled a 3000lb stock car on a trailer with no problem.
It also gets excellent gas mileage and i have not had one
problem with it. best truck i have ever owned.
