I have a 93 splash. when it is cold and wet the right front
brake locks up. It did this when it was new also. Dealer said
the hub was too tight. Anybody have any suggestions. This truck
has never been off road as the dealer suggested. thanks

I have a 93 XLT Supercab and have had problems with the brakes since it was new. On rainy days it would lock the fronts up very easily. If it was moist or even very foggy out the fronts would lock up for the first couple of stops.
I finally redid the brakes at 75,000 miles. I had the rotors turned and put in new Bendix pads designed for heavy fleet use. They still will lock up if I am not careful but they are much better. My impression from others I have talked to on the Net is that this is a common problem, although no one seems to have a real answer why.
