Am I Lucky Or What?
I Just Came Across Another 292 That Makes 4
I Should Be Able To Make 1 Good One Shouldnt I?
I Also Have Found Other Trucks Ranging From Early 50s To 80
Anyone Needs Something?
Also Found A Flathead Called A Green Diamond I Think Its A International
Actually My Father Runs A Scrap Yard And I Found It In A Pile Of Motors Didnt Know It Was There, has Been For Few Years,i See It Has All The Holes Sealed Up On It So It May Still Be Good
For the connecting rods, look on their sides in the valley formed by the edges of the I beam. It should say something like C1TE or C2AE.
The flexplate would be from a car or truck with an automatic transmission. Any Ford car 292 or 312 from 1959 through 1962 would be the right one, or a Ford 292/automatic truck from 1959 through 1964.

Thanks.
Pcmenten, i have been seeing where you're posting about wanting an automatic transmission for a Yblock vehicle. (His name removed) EDIT that lives houses down from me has a thing for the 56 ford pikups, he has two he completly restored, one he bought a long block late 60's 390 and put in it, and it's a flatbed f650 i believe and i know he has a 4 speed floor shift in that one, on the f100 56 ford pickup be restored, he painted it cherry red, and it has a 292, and i do know for a fact he researched and got the transmission out of a 1968 mercury montclair, which i think i what an FMX???..But he did it in one day, i know this to be a fact, now i'm not just making this up, but it was for sure a 68 mercury montclair automatic that had an 390 V8 in it, and he did it all in one day. I wish i could ask him how he did it, but i'm a bit leary of him, as his mother took care of him all his life and the guy had a sex change operation, and for some reason won't associate now with anyone , i'm kind of afraid of him now anyway , but Pcmenten i do know he did this job, but i remember it bolted right up to that 292, .....Janet
I edited my post and removed his last name, and location because he does surf the sites about anything to do with only 56 ford pickups, and i don't want the guy suing me, he has a lot of money
