I have a question for you. Think about you BEST friend. Lets say something happened to them and the only way their life would be saved, was if you gave up your own. Would you do that for them? Would they have done that for you if the situations were reversed?

My best friend is my step-brother. I would give up my life for him and not even think about it. He would do the same. I can also say, without details, we have been faced with life or death situations together and we both covered each other with our lives.

No. I think it's illegal too, like assisted suicide, isn't it? It's also illogical; if the guys sick to begin with and I'm perfectly healthy and I give my life then he ends up dying anyway...

Not me. I have a wife and kids to think about. Giving up my life for my friend would be the most self-centered, selfish thing I could do to my family.

My best friend is my Wife. Yes, I would give it up for her. I have enough medical problems that sometimes I feel like doing just that. She is very healthy and my kids are old enough to be able to go on by themselves.

But then I look at my family, and it's not worth doing anything dumb.

My woman is also my best friend, and yes, I'd die for her. She probably wouldn't for me, but you know how women are, lol.

My best friend, aka wife, would like me to die for her. I'm the one with the high life insurance.

My best friend, besides my wife, is a guy I met shortly after getting out of the service. We have been through one heck of a lot together over the last 30+ years. He has helped me through times of stress and sometimes unimaginable pain and even through some financial difficulties, which I eventually paid him back for. He loaned me the money for my 64, ... $800, which I made payments back to him, no interest. And his friendship .... priceless.

If he was in danger and there was something I could do, knowing it was possible that I lose my life in return for his... yes ... I'd do it without a second thought.

My wife is my best friend and I would lay my life down for her in a New York minute if it would spare hers. No questions, no excuses, no problem.

Being that I am not married, my answer is no. My best friend and I have been friends for 15 years and I don't think I could do that, but I wouldn't expect him to do it either.
