Front Mount Receiver
I have a 1991 Ranger XLT and I want to install a front mount receiver on it. Draw-Tite/Reese makes one for that year, except the fine print states that "It will not fit trucks with C channel frames". Naturally, that is what I have. I did not realize that Ford had two different chassis for the '91 ranger. I contacted Draw-Tite and the engineer told me that they do not manufacture any hitch receivers for C channel frames, only boxed. Does anyone out there know of a company that makes one to fit this truck or am I stuck with having a shop weld one up for me? I appreciate any help.
