Does anyone know if Ranger and Explorer frames are the same? I have heard they are but before I spend my money on a front-mount-receiver-hitch, I'd like to know for sure. I have a 97 Ranger but the only hitches I can find are for Explorers.
Also, does anyone know how to rewire the fog lights so they will come on when I push the button without having to have the low beams on?
dont know about your frame problem but i may be able to help with the lights. what i would do if i was u is put the fog lights on thier own seperat circut. that way u can turn them on and off when ever u want.
I hate to say this but some municpalities will stop you for running yuor fog lights when it's not foggy. I watched one the other day, of course she was really intelligent. This was 6:00 in the evening (it's just about dark at that time here now), and all she had on were her park lights and her fog lights. Guess she got a good driver certificate!
I don't understand why you want them to turn on with your low beams all the time, to me that would create an extra load on your battery and alternator constantly. Not to mention drive everyone else up the wall. I run into several on my way home every morning (I work staright nights), and they have their 65 watt halogen driving lights aimed up into the oncoming traffics eyes, and just keep right on going.
