Thumbs up Hellow from WV

I have enjoyed viewing this site and now I decided it was time to become a member. I have been working on a 1982 Bronco for the past year, everything underneth is new, now I get to start on the body.

I removed the old 302 and replaced it with a boss 351c that I got out of a 71 mustang. It was bored .030" over, new forged flat top pistons, decked and ballanced. I used a set of 2V heads off of a 70 torino. The valves were replaced with the larger sized valves (feara), hardened seats were installed. The old rocker stud bases were machined to accept the large screw in studs topped off with roller rockers. The heads were also ported for uniform flow. This motor dropped righit in but I had to use 351M headers and make a slight mod to the engine mount bases for them to fit. The motor was topped off with an edelbrock performer with a holley 650. For the ignition I used the GM HEI set up and the excell 8.8 wires. I used the edelbrock high volume aluminum water pump with the big block radiator.

The hardest part with this swap was the headers, the pully set up, the wather neck, and duel exhaust. I already explained that I modified the engine supports to install the headers. The pully set up for the altinator I used the set up off of the 70 torino, the power steering pump I modified what I took off of the mustang to make it work, basically I welded up the old adjustment slot and machined a new one in the right location. The water neck I solved with modifying a 1979 351M truck water neck. I removed the upper 2 ports, welded and machined the holes and anidized it. Installing duel exhaust where it never was, was also a real trick, but it does now have 2.5" exhaust all the way back. I highly recommend the installation of a cross over just behind the collectors as this really smoothed out the idle.

On the chassy and drive train, well I completely gutted the chassy, cleaned and painted the frame, and basically replaced everything new to include springs. The c6 I rebuilt and installed a trango kit, it had a 9" rear which I re-geared to 3.50 and installed a 4 pinion trac lok, I did the same on the front differential.

Now the real work starts, the interior, which I am going 93 eddy bower and the body, well not sure yet how I will do this.

It will be fun getting more ideas from all of you as you have been to date a source of great information. If anyone else is planning a mod simular to mine, I will be happy to give you all the in's and outs so you don't repete the same mistakes as I did. As far as the mis spell on clevelandrocks, well the right spelling was already taken.
