Clutch Problems/Questions

I have a 97 F350 with 230,000 on it. The clutch doesn't slip and is strong, but it grinds when you shift. It started grinding just when down shifting, now it does it all the time. It acts like it isn't disengaging all the way. What do you guys think? What should I replace?

Check the clutch linkage underneath the dash board, and the slave cylinder. You can also search the forum for similar probs. There are a bunch of clutch and trans threads.

Yes, it sounds like the hydraulic clutsh linkage is going south. Try replacing the fluid and bleeding it. If that does not work then get a new master/slave cylinder assembly from ford.
