thanks very much. I am not afraid to tackle it now. I used to do these things back in the 50s in U.K. but now that I am "past my sell by date" as my daughter puts it,I am a little more cautious doing these mechanical jobs.! sorry that I spelled Gasket wrong.! briwen (canada)

My '83 with a 351W came to me needing what we thought might be a blown doughnut gasket on the left side. Turned out to be a cracked heat riser unit below the manifold.
Pulled both manifolds and replaced them with headers and full dual exhausts. Sounds sweet.
