I spent two weeks in Western Australia in the city of Perth and the goldfields of Kalgoorlie. Little Diesel Toyota Land Rovers rule, but I did see about a dozen Superduty's while I was there. 12 trucks in two weeks is not very popular. I saw 1 Chevy Suburban and 0 Dodge. I stopped by the Ford dealership and asked for a Superduty brochure. He said what, I said a Superduty brochure. He said what, I said big truck. He said oh, the F-series. Yes, so I got to bring a brochure home. They do not call them Superduty there, only F-250 and F-350. The F-150 was not sold in WA, and there were no Superduty's on the lot. Here's what they can get, 2004 F-250 or F-350, 5.4 V8 or 7.3 PSD, yes the old diesel in a 2004 body. Any of you jealous? No V10 available. XL and XLT only, no luxury packages, we are talking real work trucks here. Sealed beam lights only on all models, like our XL's. They have a different paddle style mirror. Orange turn signals in rear lights and also as side markers. Right hand drive, of course. LSD rear diff, rubber floor covering, and skid plates are standard. Options are slim pickins, but the following is available: snorkel for diesel, sports bar (roll bar), bonnet protector, toolbox, steel try (in place of bed) with 3 fold down sides, bull bar with winch, and tonneau cover with rubber strap tie downs (you see lots of these due to the dust). Philip.
anyone know if the tail lens off one will fit an american truck? I like the look of the seperate signal indicator and brake/tail light. wonder how much it would cost to get them.
this was one of the first threads i read last year. i think it will fit but you have to change the wiring because the turn and brake wires share a housing and use a logic module.
yea, the electronics is easy, lots of people do it on the mustangs too, swap in 99 and 01 cobra tail lights because they have the seperate amber lens. Guess i just gotta find someone to send them over here to me.
The only reason f250's are not common here (Australia) is because they cost more than $70,000. By comparison Toyota etc cost about half that.
There is really is nothing on Australian roads remotely similar to the Superduty, I have a 2'' lift and 305's on 16x10 rims with Bushwacker Flares - You should see the amount of attention the thing draws.
think you can get some tail lights out of a junkyard or dealership and ship them over to me? how about some pics of your truck? I was checking out ford.com.au yesterday, pretty sharp .. ilike th eall sealed beams.

I will try and get you a part number for them for you...
so, if made in brazil, you can get a short bed regular cab configuration right??
on the lamps, should be no prob, and ford sells the f150/f250/f350 tailamps (all the same for 97-04 sd's and heritage 150's) for like 38 bux retail..... most anyone could get at leat 10-20% off....so expect the aussie lamps are cheap.
Most f250's in Victoria have boxes. I assume NSW would be the same. I would also assume most Superduties in Australia are F250's and that most are sold in NSW and Vic.
And the only reason I mentioned it, as all F250s in the States come with a pickup box, only on the F350, with the narrow frame, you get the box delete option.
Well that is my understanding anyway.
BTW Part numbers are
Left hand light: YC35 13405 AA
Right hand light: YC35 13404 AA
BigF350, thanks for finding the part numbers. I called my local Ford dealers here and they saw the part numbers listed but are not authorized to order them. Would you be willing to do some more research? I'd like to know what the cost is, and if they come with bulbs and harness like the US part does.
Does anyone here in the US know of any dealers that can order these?
