My wife has said that if I buy another family hauler it had better be bigger and better than the ex. I wonder if Freightliner is getting into the market?

Well, Navistar is, and I've heard rumors that Peterbilt will be soon, so you may have some other choices. There's also the Studebaker XUV, which is built on a Ford chassis (V-10 or 6.0L diesel.)

the Studebaker looks ugly to me. Guess I will just have to live with the EX for a while.

I agree with you that the dollar rules; slow Ex sales have forced Ford to discontinue the vehicle. I am very interested in buying an 05 Ex but am tempted by the nice rebates available on 05 3/4 ton Chevy Suburbans.

Question for all those more informed than me (e-z): Why is Ford not matching Chevy in regards to the $ size of rebates on their largest SUV?

Happy New Year to All

Sales of the X have been declining because Ford has not done one stitch of advertising for four years. They completely misinterpreted the market that the X would appeal to and Bill Ford is more interested in appearing to be a tree-hugger than to run his grandfathers company for a profit.
