97 Psd

Just purchased a 97 PSD w/E40D tranny, 105,000 mis. Have heard all the pros and cons. ( have always owned gas 460). Any recommendations for owning this truck would be appreciated.

Same reaction I had too. LOL. you will find that these engines are great, and much better than gassers.

One of the biggest things about these motors that is detrimental is maintenance. Make sure you change the oil on a tight schedule and keep all the filters clean and keep everything in tip top shape. If you do this you will have a truck that will far exceed the 250,000 mile marker. If you have any problems just post it here, I'm sure you can't ask a question that will go unanswered. Good luck with the new truck.

97 PSD DRW 247,000 and kicked a 01 duramax 3/4 ton's *** today. Turn off OD in town that will extend the life of your tranny! I will always own a PSD!
