Hi, We are sitting at work talking about our trucks and the subject of block heater's came up. I have a 05 6.0 and am having the cord installed to the block heater. One ofthe other guys has a 01 7.3 and said if it had one he didn't know where it is. Did the 01 7.3 come with a block heater and if so where is it located. Thanks in advance for your help. Ed
All Powerstrokes from 99-03 come with block heaters as standard equiptment. It is installed through the top of the oil cooler head into a coolant passage. The plug is zip tied up behind the bumper somewhere on the drivers side.
There is a remote possibility it won't have one. There was a "cold weather delete" option that removed the block heater and the EBPV, but it wasn't very common.
