I have a 92 Ranger with a 4 cyl. engine. Ever since I bought it last year it never warms up. In the summer when it was 100 deg. F., the temp. guage only barely got into the normal range. We now have had a cold snap and there is no heat. Today, I changed the thermostat thinking that it could be stuck open, but there is no change. After running for 20 minutes, it still blows cold air and the tempreture guage still registers below the "C" on the guage. The top radiator hose is barely warm and the inlet heater hose is warm. Any ideas?

wish i could help with a good solid answer but i can only suggest. check to see if you have flow between the heater hoses at the heater core and the water pump and block. you may have a blockage there. is the cooling fan always running? wish i could suggest more. C-Ya on the road.
